CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

What to expect when you visit a library

Our libraries have reopened for visitors and are offering a click and collect service. You do not need to book an appointment.

You no longer need to book a visit to your local library (except Market Harborough) during our opening times. For your safety we're limiting numbers, so you may have to queue before you can enter.

Library opening hours remain slightly different to normal, to comply with government guidelines and social distancing guidance. Please visit the page for your library to see the days and times that you can visit.

Market Harborough library

If you'd like to book a visit to Market Harborough library, please call the library directly on: 0116 305 3627.

The booking line is open Tuesday to Friday (10am - 5:30pm) and Saturday (10am - 3:30pm)

If you aren't already a library member, you can join the library online.

Track and Trace

Following government guidance, we are recording the presence of members of the public inside the library at any given time.

You can use the NHS Covid-19 app to record your presence in the library, alternatively we will ask for the name and telephone number for one member of your family/group on arrival. We may need to share these details with the NHS in case someone tests positive for Covid-19.

All details will be stored securely and destroyed after 21 days.

If you develop any Covid-19 symptoms, even mild ones, after you visit the library, book a test online immediately or call 119, and only leave home to go for your test.
