Leicestershire County Council is inviting people interested in fostering to its next information event this week.

The council hosts monthly events to give prospective foster carers an insight into this hugely rewarding role, with the next event on Wednesday, 11 December at County Hall in Glenfield (from 6.30pm).

Each event is relaxed and informal and showcases how providing foster care can make a real difference to the life of a young person.

Our find out about fostering events are a perfect opportunity for people thinking about fostering to gather information in a relaxed atmosphere.

“Current carers and our fostering team will be on hand to discuss the process and dispel any myths of fostering and who can foster. Foster carers come from all sorts of backgrounds, so if you’re interested in fostering we really encourage you to get in touch

Ivan Ould, county council cabinet member for children and families
