Leicestershire residents and community organisations are being urged to help shape our 2020-2024 Equality Strategy.
The new strategy will help to inform future work and actions to continue making council services and employment fair and inclusive for all by scrutinising the work we do around equality, diversity, human rights and communities.
The consultation launched today (11 November) and closes on Sunday, 2 February 2020.
The council’s Equality Strategy underpins all that we do through our front-line services and supports departments to make life better for our residents and service users.
“We are committed to challenging discrimination in all its forms, providing inclusive and responsive services and strengthening community relations. This strategy will help us to deliver on these aims and I encourage as many people as possible to help us shape it for the benefit of everyone in Leicestershire.Person:Councillor Louise Richardson, cabinet member for equalities
