Leicestershire foster carers still needed during this time

More people are being encouraged to become foster carers, as residents across Leicestershire continue to stand up and volunteer in their local community.
There are currently more than 600 children in care in Leicestershire, and our fostering service hopes the current community feeling will encourage more people to open their hearts and homes to a young person who needs them.
We are incredibly grateful for the enquiries and offers of help we have received during this difficult time.
“We urge anyone who has ever considered becoming a foster carer to get in touch for more information.

While our regular ‘find out about fostering’ events have been cancelled until further notice, the fostering team are accepting enquiries by phone, email and social media.
Anyone thinking that it may not be a good time to get in touch, please be reassured that one of the team will have the time to talk through the process in detail, by phone or video call.
