Leicestershire residents are being encouraged to help make a difference in their communities and support vulnerable people during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Our Inspired to Care team has launched a campaign to recruit people in a variety of adult social care roles, in particular supporting people discharged from hospital back into the community, helping to free up beds for the NHS.
As well as recruiting for roles within the council, Inspired to Care, will be helping home care providers recruit staff so they are free to carry on providing vital services to the vulnerable and those in isolation.
This is a challenging situation and we are doing everything we can to keep critical services going, particularly those supporting vulnerable people.
“Home care support has never been so important and the roles on offer will give Leicestershire residents the opportunity to make a difference in their local communities, support the most vulnerable to stay safe and well at home, and earn money whilst carrying out a rewarding role.Person:Councillor Richard Blunt, cabinet member for adults social care
There are long-term and temporary positions available for anyone who is interested in supporting. We are also keen to recruit people in the following positions to support those in need:

- Self-employed people

No experience is necessary. We will be carrying out free DBS checks and providing basic training to ensure applicants can begin work as soon as possible to help residents as quickly as possible.
