Scrutiny to discuss growth blueprint

A draft plan spelling out future county growth is on the agenda

Growth plan consultation

A blueprint setting out locations for new homes, roads, infrastructure and jobs until 2050 has been published.

The council's Scrutiny Commission will discuss its views when it meets at 2pm on 7 February.

The Strategic Growth Plan puts forward proposals for the new housing and transport improvements that would be needed to attract jobs and investment to Leicester and Leicestershire from now until 2050.

People are invited to comment on the plan by taking part in a county-wide consultation, which runs from 11 January until 5 April 2018.
