There is still time for people to have their say on a strategy document which highlights the plans and ambitions of adult and communities’ services at the county council.

The consultation runs until midnight on Sunday, 22 March and a series of videos are now available so that people can find out more about the plans.

The ambition at the heart of our strategy is to improve wellbeing and opportunity for the people and communities of Leicestershire - this includes helping them to lead happier, more prosperous, connected and fulfilled lives.

“We want to support people to be as independent as they can be and to use other services such as libraries and community activities. This will improve their wellbeing and probably keep them independent for longer.

“The videos provide people with an additional way to find out about our plans and to enable us to get views to help shape the final strategy.

The plans outlined in the video showcase how the county council plan to bring together adult social care, community and wellbeing, and adult learning services to provide and commission high-quality services which enrich the lives of individuals, families and communities.

The videos compliment an online and easy read survey, which have been available since the consultation was launched on 16 December.

The consultation runs until midnight on Sunday, 22 March. The videos can be viewed at www.leicestershire.gov.uk/delivering-wellbeing
