Sign of waste site

As of Monday, 19th July, no appointments will be necessary to visit a county council recycling and household waste site in Leicestershire.

However, vans, pick-ups and cars with trailers must have a waste permit to visit a waste site. Permits are also required for any vehicle bringing in asbestos, chemicals or liquid paint.

We’re making this move in line with the Government’s lifting of Covid-19 restrictions from Monday.

However, we would encourage all visitors to our sites to apply common sense in line with Government advice. That will reduce the risk to themselves and respect other people when on our sites.
