Lots of information to help plans

Leicestershire County Council's registration service has this week launched a new website designed to give newly-engaged couples all the information they need as they start to make their wedding plans.

The website - www.celebrateinleicestershire.co.uk  - is a one-stop-shop covering such topics as booking a registrar and giving legal notice that you intend to marry in a civil ceremony.

The website also offers a ‘virtual tour’ of the registration service’s ceremony rooms which are available at six venues across the county, as well as information on a host of approved services and premises available from local businesses.

Civil registrations are part of the very fabric of marriage ceremonies and date back to the 1830s. Now we have a 21st-century service in place.

The website provides advertising opportunities for local businesses with more information available at www.celebrateinleicestershire.co.uk/advertising or by emailing
celebrate@leics.gov.uk
