What do we offer?
- Earn from £35,360k plus allowances per annum with paid leave.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with extensive support from Leicestershire County Council staff
Our One2One carers are our Fostering specialists who have experience in caring for young people, aged 10+ who need individual support. Bespoke and individual training and development plans, alongside our ‘dedicated placement support team’ will ensure you have all you need. You will receive generous financial allowances in line with are on hand and you will get to use your social work skills to deliver positive and lasting change for a single young person in a unique fostering arrangement.
Our one to one carers will provide intensive, complete care to a young person, within the carer’s home, supporting the child or young person to integrate into the community and establish and reach their aspirations.
Who are we looking for?
People who have worked with children and young people.
Those who have worked in Children’s residential homes.
Teachers and teaching assistants who have worked, in particular, with children and young people with complex and challenging behaviours.
This is no ordinary fostering arrangement but a full-time and well-paid role that will give you the chance to use and develop your social work skillset in new ways to transform the life of a young person in need. You will have the resilience to ‘go the extra mile’ in maintaining a placement in adverse circumstances.
These children and young people may have experienced several placement breakdowns and will need complete one to one, intensive 24/7 support and care by one2one specialist carers.
As a One2One carer you will use positive reinforcement of pro-social behaviour, therapeutic parenting and other methods to build a bright future for a teenage boy or girl with complex emotional and behavioural issues.

What else do you need?
A spare bedroom solely for the use of fostering.
Ability to drive and access to a car.
No children under the age of 18 living in the home.
