A Place To Grow - Blaby District Council

A Place To Grow is a sustainable Community Garden with the purpose of supporting positive health and wellbeing.  We do this by encouraging people to learn new things, producing and eating healthy food, being physically active, getting involved in the community and meeting new people in a friendly, informal and safe environment.

The site is primarily for adults aged 18 plus with a health related problem including early onset dementia.  We also have a children's garden and activities for students accessing through their college as well as volunteering opportunities.

The Community Garden is free if you live or work in Blaby District Council.  If you live outside of the district, we charge £5 per session/pay as you go or £50 for annual membership.  Your first taster session is free.

You don't need a professional referral but you will need to complete the registration form for new starters which you'll find on our website or a volunteering form if that's what you're interested in.
