Love4Life strives to empower young girls aged 11-19 years to build confidence and make positive choices in their relationships, health and education.
Love4Life specialises in delivering targeted relationship and sex education by supporting young people who are facing difficulties in these areas, including sexual health, staying safe and the potential risk of sexual exploitation. All of our work embeds building positive self-esteem, body image and the handling of emotions in order to help a young person become more resilient. We believe that once young people feel good about themselves they are more likely to make healthy and positive choices for their lives.

What we provide:

121 support -
For young people in need of specific, targeted support we offer up to 12 weeks of hourly 1-2-1 sessions with our dedicated mentors and youth workers.
These sessions can take place in school, in a safe space in the community or online through Zoom.
Each young person will work with their mentor to develop an individual support plan that addresses their needs and will review their progress at regular intervals. These plans are flexible and will always adjust to changing circumstances.
Our youth workers are not trained counsellors or therapists, but they do have experience in dealing with a wide range of issues relating to relationships, sexual health & wellbeing, body-image and self-esteem and mental health. They are trained in positive-coaching techniques and active listening.
Building positive relationships is always at the heart of our work so these sessions will often include support for young people around relationship and sex education topics at an appropriate level.

Community groups -
For many of the young people we work with, a safe social space where they can be supported alongside a group of young people with similar experiences is hugely beneficial.
Our support groups offer fun, creative activities and group discussion as a means to explore important topics. We work on building self-esteem and confidence and addressing some of the many challenges young women face in school and society.
Building positive relationships is always at the heart of our work so these sessions will often include support on relationship and sex education topics at an appropriate level.
Our groups are limited to 15 young people and will always be supported by two team members, providing a much more individualised environment that is often possible in school.
We have groups at key community venues throughout Loughborough, Leicester and Derby and are always interested in establishing new areas.
