Local engagement

Local engagement with stakeholders of HS2 through Leicestershire is an important process and activity to make sure that the views and concerns are being heard and represented.

Last updated

A programme of engagement with local representatives is planned which will focus on gathering the views of those impacted by HS2 in Leicestershire. Our local focus is to ensure the impacted communities of Leicestershire are informed, represented, and signposted to appropriate support. Therefore, a number of information workshops have been jointly hosted by LCC and NWL to help achieve this and to help seek solutions that can be incorporated into the HS2 final design for the construction and operation of the new railway.

Information events (early 2020)

These events were held with Parish Councils and Resident action groups to engage with stakeholders about the HS2 construction to commence through Leicestershire.

The events encouraged these stakeholders to consider any resources needed to prepare before the hybrid Bill process.
