Road workers reading a map

Improvement works at the B4114/Leicester Lane junction are currently underway in Enderby, and residents are being asked to allow extra time for their journeys if travelling through the area.

This work is to enhance the current road network, and is being carried out as part of the New Lubbesthorpe development project. From January 2017, the second phase of work will begin at the junction, with a number of changes to allow the work to take place. The planned changes that will affect all road users include:

  • Closure of the right turn from B4114 St Johns southbound to Leicester Lane from Monday 16 January 2017 until April 2017
  • Lane closures on the B4114 northbound and southbound from Monday 16 January 2017 until April 2017
  • Two way traffic lights on Leicester Lane from Tuesday 3 January 2017 until April 2017
  • Closure of pedestrian crossings at B4114/Leicester Lane junction from Monday 16 January 2017 to April 2017

Leicester Lane overnight closures

The final stage of the scheme requires overnight closures (8pm-6am) on Leicester Lane between the B582 junction and St John's  - Monday, 10 April until Wednesday, 12 April.

Traffic will be diverted via the B4114 and B582.
