Proposal to establish a new primary school to serve Broadnook in Charnwood

The council has invited expressions of interest from Academy Proposers interested in sponsoring a new 420 place Primary School from September 2027 to serve the new housing development Broadnook (Charnwood) area of Leicestershire.

The closing date for applications is 12pm on Friday 31 July 2026.

Stakeholder event

We plan to hold an event for anyone from a trust who is interested in applying to run the new free school. This will be an opportunity to hear more about our vision for the school and ask any questions you may have.
