    I was part of a staff focus group that discussed the council’s values. We all worked in different service areas, but came up with similar words to describe what drives us. Our values are positivity, trust, respect, flexibility, openness and transparency.

    We ask all of our employees to complete a staff survey every two years. The 2019 survey showed us that over 90% of staff feel valued for the work they do, and 92% feel trusted to carry out their job effectively. We’re really proud of our survey results.
