Each pack consists of 475 shrubs and 25 trees ideally for planting every 20 metres within the hedge to grow as hedgerow trees. Any remaining trees can be planted elsewhere on the site or at either end of the hedge.
Please note, private gardens and new hedgerows that are part of a planning condition are not eligible for this scheme. Species Include:
- Hawthorn
- Blackthorn
- Hazel
- Field maple
- Crab apple
- Dog rose
- Dogwood
The application deadline is the end of January 2020 and a choice of tree species can be decided on application. Hedgerow packs can be delivered direct to your site or nearby location depending on accessibility for the delivery vehicle.
Application details are listed below.
MOREwoods
If you’re planting a new native woodland of 0.5ha (1.25acres) in size, then this scheme can support your project. Applicants will be required to contribute 20% of the costs for the MOREwoods packs as well as planting and maintenance costs.
Please note private gardens are not eligible or if the new hedgerow is part of a planning condition.
All the trees/shrubs are one to two-year-old saplings (around 40-60cm) and will provide canopy and shade within 10 years. All trees come with suitable protection from rabbits and/or deer.
The application deadline is the end of January 2020. Woodland packs can be delivered direct to your site or nearest location depending on accessibility for the delivery vehicle.
