How you can get involved

There are many ways you can contribute to nature recovery in your area — whether you’re a farmer, landowner, developer, business, school, or local resident. Some examples include; surveys, focus groups, workshops, online sessions, one to one meetings as appropriate and general correspondence.

Capturing your nature recovery projects

As part of establishing consistent monitoring and reporting for the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), we are asking project leads to notify us of any nature recovery or natural flood management projects that reference or contribute to the LNRS.

To support this, a short interim project form has been introduced to capture any planned, current, or completed projects in the last 12 months, that contribute to nature recovery outcomes aligned with the LNRS.

The form takes approximately five minutes to complete and is intended to provide visibility of activity across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.

This will help ensure accurate reporting, reduce duplication, and support coordinated delivery while longer-term reporting arrangements are developed.
