Improvement works on Kettering Road, Market Harborough

Have your say on whether the traffic lights on Kettering Road, Market Harborough should be made permanent.

In the summer 2020, Leicestershire County Council was awarded funding from the Department for Transport for a series of works to encourage and support walking and cycling throughout the county in response to Covid-19 social distancing restrictions. These works included improvements at the Kettering Road rail bridge to widen the cycle lanes and replace the give and take priority system with temporary traffic signals.

Following positive feedback received regarding the scheme and the successful trial of the temporary signals, we are now proposing to install permanent traffic signals at this location. Please see the map below for more details:
