This consultation runs from Monday 27 July to Friday 9 October 2026

We have launched this consultation to help shape our Strategic Plan 2027 to 2031, setting out the long-term priorities for the county.

Have your say on the big priorities for Leicestershire

We're asking what matters most to you, your families, your businesses and your communities, and the draft plan focuses on 4 broad outcomes:

  • supporting people to live well and achieve their full potential
  • keeping Leicestershire safe, connected and community-minded
  • building a strong economy with capacity to grow
  • the council being efficient, responsive and ready for the future

There may be change on the horizon for local government in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, but understanding what’s important to Leicestershire residents has never mattered more.

Have your say

We want to hear from you before the consultation closes on 9 October 2026, so that the final plan is shaped by broad, honest and practical feedback from across the county.
