Big travel survey

Tell us about how you travel in Leicestershire.

This engagement runs from Tuesday 4 November to Tuesday 30 December

Leicestershire is running a local travel survey to better understand how people get around in their everyday lives. How you take your journeys, whether you drive, walk, wheel, cycle, use public transport, or rely on lifts from others – your experiences matter.

By taking part, you’ll help us:

  • Learn how, why, when and where people travel across Leicestershire
  • Understand what makes travel easier or more difficult
  • Identify barriers that prevent people from accessing essential services like healthcare, education, shops and leisure activities, as well as work places

Why your input matters

Everyone’s travel experience is different – and that’s why your input is so valuable. No matter your mode of transport, we want to understand what works well and what could be better for you.

We’re also keen to learn about any challenges you face; such as access to services, and work places. Your feedback will help us shape future plans that support more inclusive travel across Leicestershire.

Taking part is simple, and your information will be kept confidential. Every response helps us make better decisions for our communities.

Have your say

There are several ways you can take part and share your views.

Attend local events

We’ll be hosting events across the county where you can speak to us in person. Keep checking back for updates as more dates will be added.

The Big travel survey will help inform and shape Leicestershire County Council’s future plans, policies and strategies such as the Enabling Travel Choice Strategy (ETCS). The ETCS will focus on how we can help to enable communities, current and future, to have improved access to daily services and facilities.
