About the project
Project Gigabit is the UK Government’s programme bringing fast, reliable gigabit-capable broadband to rural and hard-to-reach communities, not covered by commercial broadband rollout plans.
Gigabit-capable broadband means:
- faster speeds for streaming, working, and learning
- better access to online services
- future-proof connectivity for rural homes and businesses
Project Gigabit is helping ensure that no part of Leicestershire is left behind in the digital future.
