FoxConnect celebrated its first anniversary in Harborough this March after a successful year helping thousands of residents access services, activities and onward travel.
The on-demand local transport service, run by Leicestershire County Council in conjunction with Premier Taxis and Centrebus, allows users to book a journey via the app or by phone to travel to local centres, services and areas of interest.
Now operating in five zones within Harborough, the service connects residents to key destinations including the town centre, St Luke’s Hospital and Thurmaston Shopping Centre.
Since its launch on 17 March 2025, FoxConnect has supported over 19,000 residents, including those in rural areas where public transport and connectivity have previously been challenging.
"This service was designed following engagement with residents to give them a practical way to travel.
“During the past year or so, it’s been fantastic to see that it has helped residents stay connected to the people, places and services that matter most.
“Its success reflects our commitment to improving the quality of life by providing improved and reliable transport options."

FoxConnect continues to go from strength to strength in the district, as Leicestershire County Council and its partners work with local communities, organisations and voices, to deliver improved access to services and opportunities.
