Free winter holiday clubs for eligible children across Leicestershire

Teacher supporting children in play exercise

This Christmas, children across Leicestershire can look forward to fun-filled, educational holiday clubs, completely free for families receiving benefits-related free school meals.

The HAF Holidays Together programme is back for the festive season, offering exciting activities through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) scheme, funded by the Department for Education and coordinated by Leicestershire County Council.

From festive crafts and storytelling to sports, dance, music, and local trips, every session is designed to help children learn new skills, make friends, and stay active – all while enjoying a healthy, nutritious meal.

Sessions will be hosted by schools, leisure centres, community groups, childcare providers, and sports clubs at venues across the county.

Eligible families will have received their voucher codes by text or email from Hello@holidayactivities.com on 3 November. Once received parents and carers can then visit the Leicestershire HAF page and book up to 4 sessions for their child.

HAF sessions are a brilliant way for children to learn, play, and grow during the winter break. I encourage all eligible families to look at what’s on offer.

Families can check their eligibility & book now by visiting the HAF page and search for providers by district.
