Last chance to help shape county priorities

Only days remain to give your views on big priorities

Have your say on the big priorities for Leicestershire

Leicestershire County Council is urging people to take their final chance to have a say on the big priorities for the county.

A consultation on Leicestershire’s long-term priorities is asking residents, businesses and communities to tell the council about the draft plan, which focuses on:

  • supporting people to live well and achieve their full potential
  • keeping Leicestershire safe, connected and community-minded
  • building a strong economy with capacity to grow
  • being efficient, responsive and ready for the future

The council is looking to get honest and varied feedback from people about what matters most to them – whether for their family, business or community.

Whatever the future is for local government reorganisation plans, views about the key themes - supporting children and families, helping people live independently and making sure the county council is efficient and ready for the future - are important for the long-term future of the authority.

"We’ve already heard back from a range of people telling us their priorities, but we want to hear from more people so we get the broadest range of views we can.

“Your responses really do make a difference – only you can tell us what you want Leicestershire to look like to be a place to live and work in.

“Please take a few minutes to give us your thoughts – it’s never been more important to shape the long-term future of the council and its priorities.”

The consultation closes on Sunday 1 November. Visit the webpage to fill in the survey.
