New cabinet appointed

New leads were appointed at our annual general meeting

A new leadership team and chairman have formally taken up their posts at Leicestershire County Council. 

Councillor Dan Harrison was confirmed as leader, and Councillor Joseph Boam as deputy leader, at today’s annual general council meeting (Wednesday).  

A new cabinet has also been appointed:  

  • Councillor Helen Butler - resources 
  • Councillor Charles Pugsley – children and family services
  • Councillor Joseph Boam – adult social care
  • Councillor Charles Whitford – roads, transport, waste
  • Councillor Harrison Fowler – strategic planning and economic development (growth) 
  • Councillor Michael Squires - health 
  • Councillor Adam Tilbury – environment and flooding
  • Councillor Virge Richichi – community relations

Councillor Paul Harrison, who represents the Coalville South division, has taken over the reins as Chairman and Councillor Andrew Hamilton-Gray, who represents Loughborough North West, has been appointed as Vice Chairman.
