A roadshow offering helpful information about support for children and young people with special educational needs is heading to Loughborough next week.

Over 30 organisations will be at the event – organised by Leicestershire County Council - to talk about which services are available and are right for children and families.

People can sign up online or simply drop in to the free event taking place between 10am and 1pm on 25 June at Gorse Covert Community Centre.

Information will be available on autism and education, specialist teaching support, play and leisure options, work and skills and much more and is open to anyone who would like more information about support available.

Councillor Charles Pugsley, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for children and family services, said: “Our roadshows provide a friendly and welcoming environment and are an excellent way for families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities to learn about the support available to them.

“I would urge anyone interested to come along on 25 June and chat with a wide range of service providers to help find the best fit for your child’s unique needs.”

Gorse Covert Community Centre is on Maxwell Drive, Loughborough LE11 4RZ
