Zouch Bridge ‘meet the contractor’ event

Join us on Friday 3 October

Zouch bridge

Anyone interested in finding out more about a project to replace the deteriorating Zouch Bridge can attend a special information event.

‘Meet the contractor’ will take place between 12-3pm on Friday, October 3 at Loughborough Boat Club, Rempstone Road, Zouch.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and view aerial photography and other displays. Light refreshments will be available.

Specialist contractor Eric Wright Civil Engineering is replacing the current 95-year-old bridge on behalf of Leicestershire County Council.

The £19.5m scheme will see the existing 80m (262ft) bridge which spans the River Soar demolished.

Cllr Charles Whitford, county council lead member for highway and transport, said: "This is a great opportunity to have a chat with the experts and find out more about this technically challenging project.”
