Renew and Reserve

To sign in you will need your:

  • Library PIN
  • Library card number or temporary borrower number

After you sign in to renew and reserve you can search for specific titles and authors on the online catalogue.

Forgotten or change Library PIN

This is free to do online (a valid email address is required). You can also ask staff at any library to reset your PIN, charged at £1 adults, 50p children.

You will need your temporary borrower number which would’ve been:

  • emailed to you if you joined online, along with your PIN
  • given to you if you joined at a library in person

If you don’t know your number or have lost your library card Contact a library. The charge for a replacement library card is £2 for adults, 50p for children.

What can be renewed and reserved

You can renew and reserve the following:

  • books
  • e-books
  • talking books (CD)
  • eAudiobooks
  • sound recordings and films

Reservation charges

You will need to pay:

  • £1 for books, talking books, sound recordings and DVDs
  • £6 to £12 for inter-library loans

If you are under 18 years old, a full time student or unwaged you will need to pay:

  • 20p for books

People with disabilities

For books and talking books you will need to pay:

  • 50p if you’re an adult
  • 20p if you’re under 18 years old
  • no charge for subject requests
