The LLSTP highlights where the two transport authorities will work together to deliver common transport aims and objectives. This purpose is to support the delivery of growth in ways that seek to improve connectivity, reduce congestion and minimise environmental impacts.
The LLSTP provides a transparent framework for making decisions on key long-term transport priorities. It also ensures cross-boundary co-ordination and builds on the effective partnership and joint work that is undertaken with Leicester City Council.
