A major new survey designed to shape future transport plans and support Leicestershire’s economy has launched.

The ‘Big Travel Survey’ will help Leicestershire County Council better understand how people get around in their everyday lives, including how they travel to healthcare, education, shops, leisure activities and workplaces.

Feedback will help inform future projects and is the next stage in delivering the 15-year Local Transport Plan.

Council leader, Dan Harrison, said: “We hope people will take this opportunity to take part in our Big Travel Survey and tell us how our transport network supports their lives.

“Whether you use it for getting to work, accessing essential services or simply enjoying our beautiful countryside, your views will help shape how we invest to improve travel for the future.”

Residents’ comments will help shape the council’s new strategy focusing on enabling travel choices, such as driving, walking, cycling and using public transport, while supporting economic growth.

Have your say and complete the survey online.

Over the next eight weeks the choose how you move team are also hosting several public events across the county to offer more information and support with the survey. Find an event near you and get involved.
