Harborough District Children and Families Wellbeing Centre, Coventry Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9BX

Family Hubs (formerly known as Children and family wellbeing centres) are local centres that offer help and support to all families with babies and children from pregnancy until they go to school. Midwives, Health Visitors and other staff are often on hand in the centres to provide help and guidance to support you and your child’s development.

Some examples of the services our centres provide are:

  • baby clinics
  • play sessions
  • parenting support, including breast feeding, weaning and nutrition and behaviour management
  • baby massage
  • immunisation and vaccinations
  • drop-in sessions

Some extra services are targeted and restricted to families who need additional support.

We:

  • support parents before and after birth to help them feel prepared and ready to cope with being a new parent
  • give help and advice for parents and their babies including breastfeeding support, baby massage and support to access their free childcare
  • help support children’s speech, language and communication give support to families experiencing anxiety or depression during pregnancy and their child’s first year
  • help to develop parent’s skills and experiences to build confidence in learning new things and preparing for work
  • give support to families affected by Domestic Abuse
  • give support for young parents
