Scheme Overview
The scheme is being delivered to improve the performance and resilience of the local highway drainage network, by helping to reduce the risk of surface water flooding and improve the condition of the highway during periods of heavy rainfall.
The works will include renewal and upgrading of existing drainage assets, installation of new drainage infrastructure where required, and associated reinstatement works.
To ensure the works can be carried out safely and efficiently traffic management measures will be required throughout the construction period. Including temporary traffic signals. Advance notice will be provided for any significant traffic restrictions.
Access to properties and businesses will be maintained wherever possible. However, there may be short periods where access is temporarily restricted while works are carried out directly outside properties. Clear signage and on-site staff will be available to assist with access and ensure the safety of residents, businesses, and road users.

Scheme Background
The drainage network along Mill Hill has experienced issues associated with surface water management and ageing infrastructure.
The works form part of Leicestershire County Council's ongoing programme of highway drainage and flood alleviation schemes, aimed at improving network resilience and reducing flood risk across the county.
