Local engagement for the transport plan

Local engagement for the Local Transport Plan through Leicestershire is an important process and activity to make sure that your views and concerns are being heard and represented.

Listening to our residents, communities, businesses, partners and stakeholders is vital in helping us to achieve a better Leicestershire for residents, communities, the economy, and County Council.

We undertook a range of consultations when developing our LTP4 Core Document and its supporting policies, strategies and plans. These are summarised on our You said, we did page, including:

  • 2026: Enabling Travel Choice Strategy
  • 2026: Big Travel Survey
  • 2025: Rights of Way Improvement Plan
  • 2024: Local Transport Plan
  • 2024: Road Safety Strategy
  • 2023: Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans.

We will continue to provide opportunities to input into the development of the LTP and its supporting documents and schemes, including the development of:

  • LTP focused strategies
  • The County Strategic Transport Investment Plan
  • Multi Modal Area investment plans
  • Supporting schemes
