Birstall library is next to Riverside School. The library is on two levels and has a lift available.

Library services during lockdown

From Thursday 5 November, during the national lockdown, this library is closed for visits to browse or borrow books, but you can book a one-hour slot to use a computer.

Click and Collect is also available during lockdown closures - request a selection of up to 10 handpicked items to collect from this library and borrow for four weeks.

Third Monday of the month 2.30pm onwards.

Craft group

Second and fourth Tuesday of the month 10.30am onwards.

Wriggly Readers

Every other Monday from 10.30am to 11am.

Fun, informal sessions where babies and children aged 0-4 years and their parents/carers can join in with stories, songs and rhymes in a welcoming environment. An opportunity for families to meet and make friends.
