Chance to find out about fostering

Foster carers will be at event to talk about experiences

Make 2018 the year you foster

People thinking about fostering can chat to foster carers at a special event this week.

The informal event will be held from 6.30pm-8pm on Thursday, 22 March at County Hall in Glenfield and will provide an opportunity for people to meet and talk to carers, as well as the council’s fostering team.

Leicestershire’s children in care need families from their communities to offer them loving homes. Fostering is a very worthwhile activity that current foster parents tell me they feel makes a real difference to a child’s life chances.

I would urge all of you who are interested to attend an information evening and find out more. If you can make a difference to a child in need come along to find out how you could help

The next four ‘Find out about Fostering’ events are as follows:

• Thursday, 22nd March
• Thursday, 12th April
• Wednesday, 2nd May
• Thursday, 24th May
