Senior members at Leicestershire County Council are supporting the ambition of delivering more active travel initiatives across the county.

Bikeability is the government’s national cycle training programme. It helps riders learn practical skills and to understand how to cycle on today’s roads.

Plans that identify where walking and cycling improvements would make the most difference in each part of Leicestershire, and in what order they should be considered.

We run adult cycle courses that are open to anyone over 16 regardless of skill level. The courses help to boost skills and confidence in cycling and encourage people to cycle more often.
