The Chairman

The 2025-26 Chairman is Paul Harrison, he is the 49th since the council began in 1889.

The Vice-Chairman

The Vice Chairman for 2025- 26 is Andrew Hamilton-Gray.

The county council is proud to support members of the Armed Forces and their families in Leicestershire.

Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen of the County Council

In 2005, the council agreed to appoint Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen. The title recognises exceptional service of people who have reached the end of their political careers.
