What we offer

Our foster carers receive a comprehensive training package and regular updates from the team from day one.

Once you’re approved as a foster carer, our work doesn't stop there - we continue to support foster carers 24/7 and recognise their hard work.

"Recently I was asked what I am most proud of in my life, and straight away my answer was ‘being a foster carer’. ”

If you’re looking at different fostering agencies, don’t forget that as the local authority, children in Leicestershire are in our care.  This means we'll be able to offer more consistent placements that match our children’s needs and yours. It can also mean a more steady income.

Flexible fostering

Each year, hundreds of children in Leicestershire need to be cared for. There are lots of different types of fostering, from short stays to more specialist care, and many ways to fit it into your lifestyle. Our rates of pay reflect the different types of foster care - you can find out more about the payments

You can read more about the different types of fostering, contact the team today on 0116 305 0505 or email

If you would like to find out more informally, come along to one of our events or fill in the form.

Already a foster carer?

Pick up the phone today to discuss your options. If you’re looking for more regular placements, we can discuss how that can happen more easily by working directly with Leicestershire County Council.

Foster Carers' Charter

Our Foster Carer Charter defines the expectations between the fostering service and the carer. It sets out clear principles on how our carers should be treated and recognises their invaluable contribution to the lives of children and young people.

It aims to ensure that all children in care have greater stability, less upheaval and a better chance at a stable family life.
