Melton Mowbray Child Contact Centre (MMCCC) provides support to children and young people affected by the impact of family breakdown and problems in communication and conflict between parents. By providing a safe, friendly, neutral space, children of separated families can spend time with one or both parents or other family members.
MMCCC aims to support children of separated families maintain or re-establish contact with a parent, grandparent, sibling, other relative or another person important in their life and for the family to move on to manage the contact themselves.
The Centre is open every Saturday afternoon from 2pm-4pm. We provide a child centred environment that provides toys, games, and facilities to reflect the diverse needs of children affected by family breakdown.
The service is run by volunteers, assisted by a volunteer team leader, who support the sessions and help with the practical running of the centre.
Referrals can be made directly to the coordinator by families or professionals.
