Coalville is one of 14 recycling and household waste sites in Leicestershire. Site users must keep children and pets in cars at all times and be alert and aware of other vehicles and pedestrians on the site.

This site is currently not accepting plastic bottles (due to an operational issue, which may take 2-3 weeks to resolve). The nearest RHWS accepting plastic bottles in the interim is Lount. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

This site is open on all bank holidays, except Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

  • Vehicles are allowed access to the site up to 5 minutes before closing time (at peaks times this may be increased)
  • All vehicles must be off-site by closing time
  • Pedestrian access is not permitted at this site
  • When this site is closed on Thursdays and Fridays, Lount is open
  • All waste legally deposited at this site becomes the property of the County Council
