The Broughton Astley Community bus serves Broughton Astley and surrounding villages with the aim of making travel easier where there are no connecting bus routes.
Our most important undertaking is to provide full facilities and association for the elderly, disabled and those with limited mobility. We can take one wheelchair as we have a fullly equipped wheelchair lift and a specially adapted step into and out of the bus.
The bus is available for hire by groups, using your own driver, subject to licence conditions, or we can supply one of our volunteer drivers, subject to availability.
In order to assist our less mobile users, we take them to a luncheon every Tuesday and Friday provided by Thomas Estley college. We also arrange regular shopping trips to Asda (Fosse Park) or Morrisons (Lutterworth) and monthly trips to Hinckley. All these trips are a door-to-door service.
