Oak Court - Extra Care Housing Scheme

Oak Court is a purpose built extra care scheme providing 50 one or two bedroom self-contained flats for rent and many of the flats have balconies or patios.  Oak Court has on-site care staff (24 hours / 7 days a week with a non-resident management staff and Careline alarm service.

There are a range of communal spaces for you to enjoy with other residents including a dining room, garden, activities room, hairdressing salon, assisted spa bathroom, library, shop, cinema, hairdressers and guest suite.  The communal gardens are split into different areas to allow quiet enjoyment, social activities, gardening and seating areas.  There is ease of access both inside and outside for those with lower mobility.

Our tenants are predominantly over 55 years of age, but we also welcome younger people with a disability. Our vision is to help everyone to live a full and independent life.

Oak Court is owned and operated by emh group which has been providing affordable housing and care and support services for over 50 years. We manage more than 18,000 homes through emh homes and emh care and support.

Referral process
You are eligible to apply for an apartment at Oak Court if you are over 55 and living in Leicestershire with eligible care needs, or younger and with a disability. Applications can be made via the choice based letting scheme at Blaby Council. You will also need to contact Leicestershire Adult Social Care for a care assessment to establish eligibility and the scheme manager will carry out an extra care housing assessment.
