National Productivity Investment Fund Award

Leicestershire County Council has been awarded £2.67 million as part of the Government’s National Productivity Investment Fund. This funding boost will help finance the following:

  • A511/Discovery Way and A511/Nottingham Road, Ashby-de-la-Zouch junction improvements (£1.7m)
  • Ratby Lane/Wembley Road junction improvement, Leicester Forest East (£0.6m)
  • Snibston Redevelopment cycle link, Coalville (£0.34m)

Detailed schemes are being developed for each of the locations, but a key purpose of each is:

  • To help to support future growth;
  • To improve conditions for all road users;
  • To help to reduce traffic congestion.

As appropriate, consultations and/or further information will be provided about each scheme prior to construction. The intention is for all of these schemes to be delivered by March 2018.
