Development control and regulatory board

You may want to attend or find out more about the Development control and regulatory board if you are interested in the development control (planning) decisions the council makes.

Responsibilities

The Development control and regulatory board makes decisions on applications relating to:

  • Public Rights of Way
  • Tree Preservation Orders made by the county council),
  • Commons Registration
  • Minerals and Waste developments and the 
  • County council's own developments

It also advises the Cabinet on responses to planning consultation exercises which have been referred to us by District councils. 

Meetings

You can attend a meeting, as they are open to the public and take place every 4 to 5 weeks.
They are also broadcast live online.

Making Representations at the Board

If you wish to make a representation on a planning application, tree preservation orders, or public rights of way matter that are being considered at a board meeting, please follow the guidance document.
