Planting a tree on your land, or in your garden or community does not have to be expensive. There are many free tree schemes run by organisations such as the Woodland Trust. Talk to your parish council, school or community group if you’d like to plant more trees in your neighbourhood – whether you live in an urban or rural part of the county. You might even have a local Tree Warden or an Environmental Action Volunteer that could help you with this.

Find help and advice on planting and tree species.

Interactive Map

We now have an interactive map, where you can view trees planted across Leicestershire. You can record trees you've planted using our online tree recording form.

Environment Action Volunteers are employed by Leicestershire County Council to support advocacy in the community to ‘Make Space for Nature’ and improve biological diversity across Leicestershire.
