Leicestershire County Council has a varied and interesting estate. This includes 728 assets with a combined value of £519m, from:
- major development sites
- a large farms estate
- industrial and office portfolios
- our occupational assets (including schools, depots, libraries and care hubs) to support the effective delivery of services for our internal clients.
Our occupational portfolio operates under a Corporate Landlord Model and the remainder is held in our Investing in Leicestershire Program (IiLP), which was established to improve financial resilience and support the continued delivery of essential frontline services, support job creation and economic growth across the county.

Commissioning Manager - Operational Real Estate
Our new Commissioning Manager will lead, direct and drive real estate management of the county council’s Operational Estate. You’ll develop strategy on behalf of client departments, work to improve efficiency, reduce costs and ensure portfolio management to the highest possible standard.

Development and Commercial Estates Manager
You will lead on a holistic commercial approach for managing costs, generating income and the development of new commercial initiatives and delivery models both internally and externally.
A confident communicator, you’ll report to the IiLP Board regularly to advise on strategic asset management.
