The process
You need to complete the above free school application, which consists of two forms (an Excel (XLS) form for criteria sections A and B, and a Word (DOC) form for criteria sections C, D, E and F).
You should:
- submit your application by email to APspecial.freeschool@education.gov.uk and SENDFreeSchoolPresumption@leics.gov.uk
- send your applications as Word and Excel files respectively - they must not be sent as pdf files
- title both your application electronic file(s) and email(s) as follows: Special_free_school_application_Leicestereshire_Competition_[INSERT NAME OF YOUR GROUP].
- ensure your email doesn't exceed 9 megabytes in size; anything larger won't be delivered. If the bid is larger than 9 megabytes, please split the documents and send two (or more) emails clearly indicating that the emails are connected (e.g. email 1 of 3).
Stakeholder Event
We are holding an event for anyone from a trust who is interested in applying to run the new free school.
This will be an opportunity to hear more about our vision for the school and ask any questions you may have.
