We work with horses and other animals to help children with autism, attachment disorders, social or communication difficulties, anxiety and other emotional issues. We use observation of horse behaviour to learn about interaction styles and explore feelings.
Other activities with the horses encourages development of problem-solving skills, improved communication, management of emotions and behaviour, increase in self confidence and self esteem.
We support children with challenging behaviour who are unable to access mainstream education as well as supporting children in their education placements. We can use makaton and PECS to support in a low sensory enviroment.
We now also provide child counselling and equine facilitated therapy for children and young people with mental health issues.
