Blue Badge parking scheme

Parked cars

The Blue Badge scheme gives parking concessions across the UK, which help disabled people park closer to their destination

Leicestershire Blue Badge holders must re-apply for a new badge before their current one expires. This can now be done online.

You can apply for a Blue Badge from us if you are a Leicestershire resident

An application for a Blue Badge is free of charge. Successful applications require a payment of £10 to issue the Blue Badge.

The Blue Badge is issued to you as an individual, not a vehicle. You can display the badge on any vehicle (including taxis and hired cars) in which you are travelling as either a driver or a passenger.

If your Blue Badge is lost, stolen or damaged you can report it and get a replacement.

Please tell us of any changes to your name or address. You must also return your Blue Badge to us if you no longer use it.

The misuse of Blue Badges affects genuinely disabled people who are using the scheme correctly.
